Bhojpuri Stars Step into Bihar’s Political Arena, Balancing Electoral Campaigns with Celebrity Influence (TIN)

National News: Bhojpuri stars are making waves during Bihar's election season. Some will try their luck in the electoral arena, while others will be seen campaigning. Names like Pawan Singh and Ritesh Pandey are making the rounds, while actors like Manoj Tiwari and Ravi Kishan will campaign for the NDA. Many film stars have contested elections in Bihar in the past, but only a few have achieved success. Film stars will also be seen in the Bihar election campaign. Among them, Bhojpuri stars are the most talked about. Some are preparing to try their luck in the elections, while others will try their luck by campaigning.

This isn't the first time film stars have been seen in Bihar's elections. Hindi film star Shatrughan Sinha has served as a two-time MP from Patna Sahib. TV star Shekhar Suman, renowned Hindi film director Prakash Jha, and Bhojpuri superstar Kunal Singh have also tried their luck in Bihar's electoral battle.

Bhojpuri film superstar Pawan Singh is one of the most talked about names in this assembly election. He contested last year's Lok Sabha elections as an independent candidate from Karakat and finished second. Previously, the BJP had given him a ticket from Asansol in West Bengal, but it was withdrawn within a few days. Disheartened by this, Pawan Singh contested as an independent candidate, contributing to the defeat of NDA candidate Upendra Kushwaha in Karakat and also influencing Rajput voters in the Shahabad region.

Now, there is talk of Pawan Singh trying his luck again in the assembly elections. He is also said to be in contact with the BJP, but he is more likely to contest as an independent. Pawan Singh may contest from Barhara, Ara in Bhojpur, or Karakat in Rohtas. His wife, Jyoti Singh, has also announced her intention to contest the assembly elections. She may also contest as an independent from Dehri or Karakat.

Another Bhojpuri film singer-actor, Ritesh Pandey, is also expected to contest the elections. Ritesh Pandey, who rose to fame with the song "Hello Kaun," recently joined Prashant Kishore's party, Jansuraj. He may try his luck on a Jansuraj ticket from Kargahar or Bhabua in Rohtas. Bhojpuri lyricist and Lauriya MLA Vinay Bihari will also contest the election again this time.

Bhojpuri artists will be seen gathering in the election campaign

In addition to contesting the assembly elections, Bhojpuri stars will also be involved in campaigning. Bhojpuri superstars like BJP MPs Manoj Tiwari and Ravi Kishan, along with former MP Dinesh Lal Nirahua, will be seen campaigning for NDA candidates in the assembly elections. There is speculation that Khesari Lal Yadav, another Bhojpuri superstar, may also contest the assembly elections, given his close ties to the RJD and the Samajwadi Party (SP), but the chances are slim. However, he may be seen campaigning for RJD candidates.

Prakash Jha, Shekhar Suman, Kunal Singh have lost

Film stars have tried their luck in Bihar elections before, but only a few have won. The majority of them have appeared before the people in the Lok Sabha elections. Prakash Jha, director of superhit films like "Raajneeti," "Gangaajal," and "Apharan," didn't find politics appealing. He contested the 2004 elections as an independent from Bettiah, 2009 on a LJP ticket from West Champaran, and 2014 on a JDU ticket, but lost all three times. Shekhar Suman contested the 2009 Lok Sabha elections from Patna Sahib seat on a Congress ticket and in 2014 Bhojpuri actor Kunal Singh contested against BJP candidate Shatrughan Sinha but both the stars were easily defeated by Shotgun.
